I love deep rich colour. Looking at the child’s pool in the park I was moved to take a few pics of which this is one. I loved what came out, the blue is sonorous and deep like a long held chord played on a piano.

Looking at this picture makes me think of stillness, the stillness that one feels on a quiet summer evening just as the sun has set and cold white wine is refreshing the senses. But for me it also chimes and rings like a deep bell ringing out over a country village on a balmy summers evening.

I wonder if I have a touch of synaethesia or maybe, as sound and colour are both just vibrations, there’s just sometimes a natural synergy between the two.
