Minimal, almost monchromatic, a dash of irridescent colour, asymmetrical composition, these are a few of my favourite things.

In this I was struck by the cerise chairs and the starkness of the straight on view. I also used a flash to get the light reflecting back on both chairs and to make the lighting as stark as the composition.

Very cold and wet day at Marazion Beach near Penzance in Cornwall. I was stood out on the beach watching the kite surfers get ready to go…it was bracing to say the least. I did get several great images though and I like this one more than some for it’s naturalness.

I like this for the simplicity.

It was taken on a very long lens and from the top of the hill opposite. I like the pattern, the simple colours and the sense of space created by the focal plane effects.

The place was on the Downs at Goodwood in Sussex…

Amazing what you see when you look above the shopline on buildings. This was a wonderful cold to hot colour spectrum reflected in a stainless steel building in Sheffield. I was struck by the colours but pleased with the way that the geometry plays with the grid.

It’s a nice contrast with the previous picture.

A rather postcard-y typr pic but I was pleased withe haziness, teh colour and the stillness. So many people are currently producing photos of water that use long exposures to turn running water into a sort of fog like effect that it’s refreshing to look at non movement.

Shepperton Lock is a nice place to visit and the Thames Court pub is a great place to sit and eat by the river…
