I liked the overlapping semi circles and the reflected light…was hard to take without a tripod though.

Shepperton Lock, posts and boats
Shepperton Lock, posts and boats, originally uploaded by Richard Adams.
A rather postcard-y typr pic but I was pleased withe haziness, teh colour and the stillness. So many people are currently producing photos of water that use long exposures to turn running water into a sort of fog like effect that it’s refreshing to look at [...]

I loved coming across this. I love abstracts and when I saw the beautiful curve and the black on white I just had to snap it. It’s been terrific taking pics in the snow as you can get some lovely bleached out shots.
I was wondering why more people weren’t [...]

Romantic River
Romantic River, originally uploaded by Richard Adams.
A favourite spot of mine, this is…the River Mole in Hersham in Surrey. On cold mornings it always looks beautiful across the meadow as the sun rises straight in front of you. This time I decided to attempt a romantic feel to the pic – simple blurring but mixed [...]

Beach Huts; West Wittering
West Wittering, May Day Bank Holiday, originally uploaded by Richard Adams.
I love the English summer. I also love the traditional seaside towns and I absolutely adore the idea of beach huts. These little pieces of Anglicana have long represented something peculiarly English. They aren’t of course ancient they really began to exist and become popular [...]

Turner-esque?

More lo-fi phtography ramblings.
This was also taken with the cameraphone in panorama mode. Because the fous is not alterabel it focussed on the steamed up car window and gave me this distinctly Turner-esque effect.
It isn’t in Fact Norham Castle or anywhere rustically romantic, it’s the car park in Staines…which all [...]

River Mole, early morning
I took this photo on the way to work one day. It was around 8.30am in early December. The river was absolutely still and the grass was frost encrusted. The sun was just coming up directly ahead as you can work out from the reflection in the water. I took the photo and it worked [...]
