I always liked this pic. It was a totally natural picture taken in a totally natural setting. The dappled light gives the picture both atmosphere and texture. The subject of the pic is almost skipping which gives the picture a lovely jaunty ambience.

Another self portrait. This one somewhat camp but I think it’s an interesting pic. Quite intense – again, the simple lighting seems ot add some punch and the tonal range is quite good. Compositionally I like it too as it’s slightly asymmetrical so has a visual tension.
